The trees were gifted by the nature with the privilege of providing life, harmony, beauty, history, … I consider myself fortunate because I communicate with them through the smell, hearing, sight and touch and I feel that I have the necessity to show their beauty through my hands, my work.
As it happens with the Stone, I also like all the Woods, some in a special way, for example the savin, the wild walnut, elm, yew; I found them all in the forests around my area. When I was Little, my mum dressed me with the best clothes to go to moss, when I go to cut a tree for carving, I also go with my best clothes, I show to such illustrious and long-lived characters my respect.
On most of the pieces where there is Wood, a part of the sculpture exposes the tree in its natural state, the man needs to know from where it comes what he sees.
